Reactions to a Heretic

It's oddly comforting to read Kevin D. Williamson's Twitter timeline where he receives scathing and unhinged responses for his two op-eds, The White Ghetto and The Father-Führer. In the two excellent pieces, he criticizes life choices made by members of the collective white working-class and says that there is some Savior/Big Daddy projection by the same persons onto Donald Trump.

This fun illustration probably doesn't help.

Many of the responses mirror that of black liberals when black conservatives criticize the choices in general of the former and the choice of voting for Barack Obama in particular, as well as other Democrats stretching back to 1964. Does the epithet "race-traitor" ring a bell?

The comforting part is the real-time confirmation that whining and excuse-making know no color or tribe.

By the way, back in 2011, Trump ran a 2012 third-party presidential candidacy up a flagpole and not too many people saluted.  But we can't say we weren't warned.

Don't forget: every Tuesday and Saturday, I blog at the award-winning DaTechGuyBlog. Tuesday's post: Looking for a Savior in All the Wrong Places.

This is my JOB. It pays for: A Roof Over My Head, the writing of My Next Book, and Utilities--especially Internet and COFFEE! Yes, coffee is a utility.
