Pre-Thanksgiving Day Reading (11/25/15)

Just a reminder. There have been no new donations since the weekend. See end of this post.

Why Kids Can't Read
So if you want to understand why reading is difficult, it's because the commissars who took over the field of education changed the game. They moved the goalposts, oh, about a mile. They changed the very nature of the activity from something that is as basic as walking, which everyone can do, to a much more elaborate activity, much like dancing in a Broadway show, which very few can do.

That's a quick and quite accurate description of the biggest education story of the last century. It is not the complete story. The other major part of the story is the aiding and abetting that have kept this swindle in play. Millions of professors, principals, administrators, and teachers have promoted and protected this destructive con. And still do. Imagine being an accomplice in something that makes people suffer throughout their lives.

How The Quran Justifies The Paris Attacks
Quran verse 5:33, addresses Muhammad's Muslims:
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned;
What is mischief? Well, the Quran gives several examples of mischief. Verse 16:88 says rejecting Allah is spreading mischief. Unbelief causes mischief according to verse 8:73 and verse 38:28. Jews, by their very existence according to Quran verse 5:64, cause mischief. So, according to the Quran, rejecting Allah is cause enough to punish non-Muslims.
"Christopher, I am your father!"
Yet the character’s righteous indignation comes off as particularly strange given that she hasn’t exactly been a beacon of morality. She has affairs with students; she decapitated her husband; and she framed her husband’s mistress for the murder. But hey, at least she’s not an originalist.
I'll end with this hilarious FB quote from yesterday:
President Obama says he's going to "rebuke" the terrorists by talking about climate change. Rebuke? Who does Obama think he is, Creflo Dollar?
