Open Warfare

Rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him.
— Sun Tzu

In 2018, I said this:
A lot of people – even some Christians — discount the existence of satanic spiritual forces and ridicule the material-world advocates of these forces. The latter count on this. For the record, I’ve seen some of those forces in action
For an increasing number of left-leaning millennials—more and more of whom do not belong to any organized religion—occult spirituality isn’t just a form of personal practice, self-care with more sage. Rather, it’s a metaphysical canvas for the American culture wars in the post-Trump era: pitting the self-identified Davids of seemingly secular progressivism against the Goliath of nationalist evangelical Christianity.
The biblically-literate will note the irony of that last comparison.
There’s the coven of Brooklyn witches who publicly hexed then-Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh to the acclamation of the thousands-strong “Magic Resistance”—anti-Trump witches (among them: pop singer Lana del Rey) who used at-home folk magic to “bind” the president in the months following his inauguration. There are organizations like The Satanic Temple —newly featured in Penny Lane’s 2019 documentary Hail Satan—a “nontheistic religion” and activist group that uses its religious status to demand for its black-robe-clad members the same protections afforded to Christians in the hopes of highlighting the ridiculousness of faith-based exceptions (Satanic prayer in schools, say). There are dozens of Trump-era how-to spellbooks that blend folk magic with activist practice: the 2018 anthology The New Arcadia: A Witch’s Handbook to Magical Resistance; Michael Hughes’s 2018 Magic for the Resistance: Rituals and Spells for Change; David Salisbury’s 2019 Witchcraft Activism: A Toolkit for Magical Resistance (Includes Spells for Social Justice, Civil Rights, the Environment, and More); and Sarah Lyons’s forthcoming Revolutionary Witchcraft: A Guide to Magical Activism. There are hundreds of thousands of users of witch-popular blogging platforms like Tumblr and Instagram, which at the moment boasts 8.5 million photographs hash-tagged “#witch.”

You'll want to read this whole thing.

Burton says that this is fair, since much of rightism has Christianity overtly embedded in it. And guess what: she’s right. And, more than that, it’s a Good Thing in that clarifies the spiritual sides and the attendant stakes.

You want the enemy’s servants to be open about their identity. This indicates arrogance — a fatal flaw.

I’d say that the Democrat Party – now one with the Organized Left – de facto and de jure pledged allegiance to Lucifer when, during the 2012 Democratic National Convention, its delegates loudly booed the (re-)admission of the word ‘God’ into the party platform. (And, in the 2016 platform, “God-given” appears three times, but “God” by Himself, not at all.)

Probably, many ignored this back then, and will keep on doing so.

But, consider this: great forces for both good and evil have begun in the highways and byways of societies — in homeless shelters … or on Tumblr. Zealots of any sort begin as a remnant, later gathering followers, acolytes and resources. See: Christianity.

And the Devil is a copycat. Everything he does is in parody to the works of God. Christ is building His kingdom and, therefore, the Devil is building his among these people who hate God and who hate their parents – especially their fathers.

However, those who mock these worshipers do so at their peril. In Ephesians 6:12, Paul acknowledges the existence spiritual rulers of dark places and of their power. Again, in imitation of God, the Devil gives powers to those who worship and serve him.

And he won’t make them wait around for it and try to teach them anything, like God does with His servants.

Also in Ephesians 6:10-18, Paul also provides the defense against these forces.

The fact that these people are so open about whom they serve is not only good for God’s servants, but for those who have a foot in two boats.

Choose one boat or the other or, as the boats continue to move further and further apart, end up in the water.

And forget about walking on it.

Can anyone deny that all the terrible things we've seen this year have supernatural sources? Well, I suppose they could, but I adamantly disagree.

I also think that these have been and will be the time of God's greatest miracles.

About That Other Virus

The Organized Left has been building America up for overt communism/socialism/Marxism/progressivism -- henceforth called leftism -- for a long, long time.

Most educational systems have long ceased to educate their charges properly, having ceased to objectively define the concepts of leftism, small-l liberalism, capitalism, basic economics and, of course, history. Specifically, educational systems stopped calling leftist concepts and ideologies by name. This made it easier to present these principles as good and necessary -- to present them as rights.

The accepted and assumed “truth” that leftist principles are rights is virus-like. It has become so pervasive that, when those who are properly educated, formally or otherwise, try to explain how and why such principles aren’t rights guaranteed by the US Constitution and how the implementation of these “rights” has bankrupted this nation and how it has radically altered life in this country for the worse, explainers get labeled adversely: racist, Nazi, Uncle Tom, fascist, Aunt Jemima, sexist, tool of the Patriarchy, or some combination thereof, depending on the coating and plumbing of the Cassandra in question.

And these labels stick for the same reason -- because the definition and history behind those epithets isn’t taught either. So, for example, instead of a Nazi being defined as someone who oppresses and murders a set of persons, a Nazi is defined as someone who stops another from oppressing and murdering a set of persons.

And, in the wake of the sowing of these seeds, the human emotion of covetousness has further softened the ground for leftism. The idea of profit beyond a certain limit being morally wrong stems from nothing but envy.

Therefore, if the regular Jane knows nothing about government or economics or history except for the distorted versions dispensed by the average public educational system, the average university system and the seven o’clock news, she can be convinced, for example, that nationalizing the oil industry will bring down the price of her utilities.

She can be convinced that corporations are the enemies of the worker and that their money is her money -- stolen out of her pocket.

She can be convinced that all profits accrued by other individuals and by corporations belong to her and those who look like her.

She can be convinced that all whites are racists and all blacks are victims of white racism -- and be unmindful of the implications of these assertions.

She can can be convinced that tearing down and burning down representations of her country's history is just and moral -- even a representation of a great black American freedom fighter.

And, ultimately, she can be convinced that the senile servant of King Hope and Change can and will make all of her dreams come true.

And so it is that all the Cassandras warning about the miseducation of average Jane, eloquent though they may be, went unheeded for the most part -- until 2020, when the feces hit the propeller and Janes (and Joes) went on a nationwide rampage.

But ...

It is my opinion that we will have one more opportunity to pull back from the abyss, to be healed of this virus. That will happen in November.

California Transformed, Part I (UPDATED)

Having been brought to California as a babe-in-arms from my birthplace (Chicago), I’ve spent most of my life here – with a break between 1978 and 1994.

Many outside observers look at the present state of California, opine that we voted for it, and, therefore, deserve what we are getting. They are wrong for many reasons and one in particular: the assumption that voting process here is sweetly pristine and untainted by any sort of voter fraud – something to which their own states are not immune.

California’s leftist government did not simply present itself to the voters and ask us to choose them instead of choosing non-leftist candidates. The game had to be rigged and the ground had to be softened.

In this part is a list of tactics used which, over time, created the Leftist juggernaut which is the California we see in 2019. The second part will contain continued tactics intended to drive out the stragglers in the middle class. A new one pops up nearly every day and I'm pondering escape.

Proposition 187
In November 1994, California voters approved Proposition 187 by a 59%-41% margin. This initiative broadly denied illegal aliens state-funded services, including public education and non-emergency health care. It also required state authorities to facilitate the identification and removal of illegal aliens by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). The State of California’s Legislative Analyst had estimated that Prop 187 would reduce net state outlays about $100-200 million per year.
A federal district court temporarily halted Prop 187's restrictions on benefits in December 1994, and this freeze was continued under a November 1995 preliminary injunction.
None of Proposition 187 was ever enforced and the law was ultimately repealed in 2014.

Illegal aliens with driver’s licenses

More than 1 million immigrants in the country illegally have obtained special California driver’s licenses since the state first began issuing them a little more than three years ago, the state Department of Motor Vehicles announced Wednesday as officials hailed the number as a major milestone.
Assembly Bill 60, which took effect in January 2015, requires the DMV to issue driver’s licenses if applicants can prove their identity and California residency, as well as meet all testing requirements, regardless of whether they can show they are in the country lawfully. As of March 30, about 1,001,000 immigrants have obtained the licenses, which are renewable after five years.
… and Motor Voter
Since 1993, the National Voter Registration Act, often known as the Motor Voter law, has helped millions of people register to vote or update their voter information during a driver license or ID card transaction at the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
The California Motor Voter program applies to Californians who are 18 or older and meet the following criteria:
A United States citizen and a resident of California.
• Not currently in state or federal prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony (Click here for more information)
• Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court. (Click here for more information)
(...)
Individuals with AB 60 driver's licenses are not eligible to participate in the California Motor Voter program and are not eligible to vote.
Emphasis mine. Related to the next topic.

Motor Voter Errors
Randall Marquis has lived in California for 31 years, but he knew it was a mistake when he received a notice last month that said he was newly registered to vote. He may have a state driver’s license, but he’s a citizen of Canada.
“When I saw that card, I just threw it out,” Marquis said. “I know I’m not going to vote. I’m not allowed to vote, it’s stupid that I should be registered to vote.”
The Newport Beach resident, who has a green card and is married to a U.S. citizen, was one of some 1,500 people who the California Department of Motor Vehicles said on Monday were wrongly registered to vote between late April and late September. These errors, which included other non-citizens, are in addition to the roughly 23,000 registration mistakes disclosed by the DMV last month.
I’m sure that this is just an isolated incident and only related to these few people. /sarcasm

How [Illegal] Immigration Turned California Blue
California was a red state, but as the Hispanic population increased, it became a blue state, and it has remained so since. There is no sign of going back; the mainstream press gloats that California is "a one-party state."
The state Republicans died out not because of inevitable demographic changes; the outcome could have been different. Nor did they die out because they were not "sensitive" enough to Hispanics, as former national GOP Chairman Marc Racicot said with reference to Prop 187.
California was faced with a choice: stop the influx of welfare-state constituents, or be washed away by the growing welfare state. The problems stemming from illegal immigration were so great that even the liberal Urban Institute acknowledged, in a 1994 report, that one in five inmates in California state prisons were deportable aliens [1]. Bill Clinton, in a 1994 speech in California, told his audience, "[I]t is not wrong for you to want to reduce illegal immigration."
Prop 187 was an attempt to address a set of challenges tied to illegal immigration. By 2002, the state was "struggling to balance a budget saddled with costs for illegal immigrants' education and health care," as the Wall Street Journal reported. Wilson and the 59% of voters who supported Prop 187 were vindicated on the merits. However, given the gradually changing population, the statists sidestepped the merits and won through superior numbers.
Now, a decade later, there is no struggle to balance the state's budget. There is only a Democratic supermajority, more spending, more debt, and what the Associated Press calls a Hispanic population that increasingly lives in "racial isolation." All the while, this population is "[a]ssimilating into the welfare system," according to Harvard economist George Borjas.
When the population won't give you what you want, get a new population.

And, below, the big one.

Jungle primaries
As a native Californian who has left the state, I witnessed California’s terrible turn firsthand.
Several factors went into this political sea change.
In 2010, the state passed a new law requiring candidates to participate in a single consolidated open primary, often called the “jungle primary.” In these primaries, the top two vote-getters end up on the election ballot, where they square off against each other. This system has driven many Republicans off the election ballot, as the top two slots are often won by Democrats.
Some Republicans originally backed the jungle primary law, including then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. They hoped it would help moderate candidates in elections and thus make the state more bipartisan.
But what has happened is the exact opposite. This law made California ripe for one-party rule.
As The Daily Signal’s Fred Lucas wrote in The American Conservative, it led to bizarre absurdities, such as Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein being labeled the “Republican” option in a Senate race due to the fact that her only opponent was a more militant progressive than her.
And there you have it, even though this isn't an exhaustive list and the next one won't be either, though it will be exhausting ... if I ever finish it.

California Creeping (UPDATED)

CA state Senator Richard Pan (D-Sacramento) introduced CA State Senate Bill 1424. Picture cite.

UPDATE: Received $505 today so far as of 345PM PT. Thank you.

ORIGINAL:

It's more like California galloping.

A bill sits in the California senate:
This bill would require any person who operates a social media, as defined, Internet Web site with a physical presence in California to develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Web site. The bill would require the plan to include, among other things, a plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories, the utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories, providing outreach to social media users, and placing a warning on a news story containing false information.
As regular readers know, Los Angeles is my home town and I've live here continuously since exiting active duty USAF in 1994. This blog, along with its original incarnation has existed since 2003.

I've had some rough personal and financial times here -- both deaths and loss of material possessions -- but I've persevered through them with God's help and yours. I've tried to get a regular job -- over-qualification seems to still be a thing -- but still dream of sustaining a living by doing what I do here and at Da Tech Guy Blog.

This bill, however, is sure to pass. Combined with the suspected shadow-ban on my Twitter and Facebook accounts, such a regulation would serve to segregate my voice and the many other outnumbered Californians who do not subscribe to the Leftism that this state's government seeks to impose on its citizenry. Effectively, it would be a silencing.

I have to consider leaving and most certainly will continue to pray about it. If I decide to go, I will start another itemized fundraiser.

In the meantime, I still have a very immediate need to pay my rent and electric bill-- still slightly behind. I've received several donations and they have allowed me to reduce to the debt and, thereby, stay housed and warm. I need one or a few donations amounting to at least $500.

Keep me in your prayers -- that I make the right decisions and that I stay out of the path of the Eight Ball. Thanks.

Recon: What the Enemies of Freedom Have Been Up To

Props to the anonymous genius who created this graphic years ago.
Since its Founding, America has been beset by those who do not understand the Founding Principles, do not know about them or—most pertinently—those who see freedom for all Americans as a threat to their power. The latter have included former colonial powers, domestic federal benches and, sometimes, presidents of the United States. But, most often, this number has included more strategic thinkers—long-term planners with concrete goals. Such are the Organized Left of the last hundred years. Leftists seeks to hinder all forms of freedom and seek to do so via government.

Therefore, even though Jim Crow laws and Northern segregation-by-legislation are considered Right-wing/conservative by sloppy thinkers, they were prime examples of the crystallization of Leftist ideology.

It is no accident that, when the Civil Rights Movement began to achieve success in garnering true freedom for Americans who are black, many of the governmental programs designed to “help” black Americans were implemented. What such programs and policies have actually done: almost succeeded in destroying the black family, created a sense of endless entitlement and stoked continued resentment among blacks for any group that is perceived to have any social and/or economic advantage over them.

This Leftist-indoctrinated mindset--very efficiently put forth by the NEA-controlled public education systems--has created the notion in black Americans that government can and should take the place of family; that dependence on government is our right. And it has inculcated the twin notions that any white American who wants his fellow citizen who are black to be free from government is a racist and that any black American who wants to be free from government is a self-hating Uncle Tom (sic)/Aunt Jemima and is a traitor to all "real" blacks. (I call it the 'New Slavery' because it has produced emotional and intellectual vassals, unable to step outside of predetermined mental boundaries.)

Thus, do even black Americans with everything going for them—talent, drive and extraordinary opportunity--believe that white people still have a boot on their necks and believe that they are entitled to vengeance. Thus, did the first black American Attorney General of the United States babble about white Americans being a nation of cowards with regard to discussions of race and within the space of months officially excuse a blatant, well-documented violation of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by members of the New Black Panther Party.

And it should be no surprise that the same political party which has overtly and covertly hindered the freedom of black Americans for a good 150 years has become the official platform for the New Slavery. The difference in the 21st century: The Slave Masters are ready to branch out “business” -- to include all Americans, regardless of race or color.

The repeated stoking of racial anger and vengeance is a tool—a tactic--of the organized Left. Leftists seek to divide groups and stir up anger and, ultimately, violence--so that a leftist-controlled government can come in and crack down on all freedoms in the name of order and set into overdrive their well-laid plans to fundamentally transform the United States of America into the Socialist Utopia of Karl Marx's vision.

Desperation Rising

NOTE: If you're so inclined, feel free to hit one of the Donation Buttons at the bottom!

There is a segment of the Left which will do everything it can to prevent Donald Trump’s inauguration. That includes taking CIA evidence-free speculation about Russia's alleged role in last month's American election and then tarnish anyone who questions it.

We watch as those who blame the Right and American gun-owners for Islamic Terror in San Bernardino, Orlando, Ohio and then strut around questioning the patriotism of those who are skeptical of CIA as it exposes its “secrets.”

Riots and vote recounts didn’t work, so now it’s all about the Russians—the same Russians with whom President Obama wanted to be  more flexible for whatever reason.

As for the CIA, it has a long record of failure and interference within American presidencies as well as in the politics of other countries.

This book documents those failures and duplicities.

One set of failures stands out in its irony considering the recent death of Fidel Castro. During the Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon Administrations, the CIA was tasked hundreds of times to assassinate Castro. It failed miserably, obviously.

It’s why I think that Castro may have returned the favor where Kennedy is concerned--with a little help from his friends of course.

It's going to get worse as Inauguration Day gets closer. The Organized Left is desperate to have Clinton as president and I think that it's a good idea to speculate--again--as to why that is. More coming.

"I'm So Afraid of Violent Trump That I'm Going to Break Things, Burn Things, and Beat People"

Donald Trump will be the president of the United States in January. It's still weird to say. Liberals and Leftists are not taking it well, though.

Leftists sat back and laughed while President Obama overstepped his presidential boundaries over and over again. The Democrat Congress approved of it each time, of course, and, later, the Republican Congress was too afraid of being called racist to do its job and keep executive power in check.

Now the Left thinks it's payback time for the Right—or, rather, the Left is trying to ensure that payback time does not happen.

Rest assured, President Trump will be well reined-in by the legislative branch, even though he has a Republican Congress and here's why: Trump has the same Congress that was afraid of being called 'racist' by the Left for opposing President Obama. Governmental Republicans are afraid of the Left, period, and the Organized Left knows this.

So it is that the Organized Left planned these anti-Trump riots just like it has been doing with almost every other riot in the last half century. The purpose: to keep the fear stoked, among regular people and among the hired help--the politicians.

And, as easy as is for the Organized Left to plan riots, it's piece of cake easy for them to pay a few of its operatives to float the assassination attempts on Twitter—especially since Twitter has not been shy about making its biases known. Twitter allows the operative-created assassination attempts, which emboldens the non-operatives and there you have it.

A free-float storm of a Leftist-created temper tantrum.

Republicans in government see this and wonder “what can we do to show them that we aren’t going to hurt them?” That's the pattern since 2000.

Will Republicans break this pattern?

BTW, the day after Election Day, I had a leftist acquaintance haranguing me about the alleged violence on the right. She doesn't have a thing to say to me today.

Portland liberals.
